Sometimes when fashion collides with ballet asthetics, there is a rare occassion that I actually like it. For instance -leg warmers. No not in the 80's way but in the 21st century way...I just really don't get it. And then you have the whole ballet/dance infused rocker chick thing that I constantly have to shield my eyes from, mostly from those awkward tweens hanging at the mall in their own little clans. Or sometimes it just takes me a while to get used to. Like leggings, when they first came out I think I didn't go the mall for a whole year. But now, I absolutely love them if they are worn the right way. Don't get me wrong there are definitely some ways when fashion and ballet collide in a style that are amazing. Some of the greatest designs in my opinion are ballet infused. Vera Wang dresses are my favourite and they of course have that feminine soft feel to them and also leg warmers are also popular this fall and they are definitely done right in the ready to wear Lacoste show. It is either a hit or miss for me.
But I stumbled across this photo and this one really confuses me. Im not sure where I even stand. Do I like this or think it is completely absurd? I mean c'mon its freakin Kate Moss, she pulls off anything. And the shoes, that's like the typical rocker dance thing i was talking about. But somehow either its kate's essence just gleaming out of this picture, the setting, or the actual ensemble going on here that is just so ...great? I have no idea... so many mixed feelings...
