cranberry's to the rescue

I don't really know how or why but this summer I have noticed that I really got into cranberry juice. I never drink juice except for the occasional orange juice when im sick. Mostly because, I have noticed, we have to request it on the shopping grocery list and most of the time we just forget. Our fam never drinks juice?! Well anyways, yes I am a cranaholic for some obsured reason. No not the cran-apple, cran-pomegranate, or cran-whatever there is now but just straight up cranberry juice! It is so good, I must have a glass every day! Well little did I know, cranberries are actually quite the big deal for healthy living. Cranberries have a high level of antioxidants which can benefit the body in many ways. It has an excellent source of vitamin C (yay for the people who get sick ALL the time), dietary fiber, manganese, and Vitamin K! They also have the ability to treat urinary tract infections. Cranberries contain an antibacterial agent called hippuric acid which acidifies the urine. Combined with other compounds it reduces the ability of E-coli bacteria to stick to the walls of the bladder. Since E-coli are responsible for up to 90% of urinary tract infections, the protection provided by cranberry juice is quite significant. Drinking one glass of cranberry juice every day can reduce the risk of infections and prevents cystitis! (Yes I know gross like you really wanted to hear that, but hey im just trying to get my point across!). Cranberry juice has a lot more to it then just that yummy sweet tart refreshingness to it. When I noticed that I have been drinking a lot of cranberry juice, of course I had to look up what awesome benefits I will get from this addiction and boy am I lucky I hopped on this cran-tastic ride! Just think, you are detoxing and cleansing your body while drinking that yummy ice-cold cranberry juice! Click Me for more cranberry juice benefits
