saying hello to goodbye's

I am saying goodbye to my lovely hometown here in Virginia. There are so many mixed feeling bottled up and going to be released in 3 days! Im going to be a student at Butler University this fall hoping to start dancing into a career! Although how exciting it may seem, I am also leaving far away from my home, friends, and family. Moving here 4 years ago to this cultured place, I have learned so much and it has formed who I am today. From not knowing a single person in high school, to making the best of friends that shared my stressful to memory-filled days. I have gotten so close to my ballet family since now I live 2 minutes away from the studio. I cannot believe I am leaving a place where I have grown up all my life, called it my second home and made a second family. But of course they will always be my family no matter how far apart we are. I have learned so much from my ballet teacher, everything that I need to know from ballet to living life. She put such an amazing perspective to look at life thru my heart and I would never take any minute being with her for granted.

But now, as I finish the sappy goodbye card, it is time to space pack my winter sweaters and get on the road! (or i should say plane) I realize even though going to this college is taking one huge risk that will probably determine the rest of my life, there has to be some reason why God wanted me to go this route and keep dancing. Butler's Dance Program here I come!

Finally a snow day

Hello Hello to fellow readers and such. Due to the fact that there was freezing rain and everyone wore there underwear inside out last night, we students finally have a snow day! Yes, I am a student, a high school senior actually, that should be taking this miraculous day by finishing college applications or reading "The Eyes Are Watching God" a book that is so boring I cant even finish a whole page in one sitting. 2nd Quarter has just ended, meaning us seniors are thinking- way too cool for school right now. Senioritis has definitely kicked me in the butt this past semester and im soo praying that colleges arent rejecting me next week. But of course instead of doing what I should be, I've been reading fashion designers blogs like Issac Mizrahi's website, inspiring myself to make my own!

So lets see I might as well tell u a little bit of myself because well hey this my blog! I absolutely love the fashion world and would hopefully like to end up there after my life of being a ballet dancer. Been dancing all my life and is most important in my life right now, hopefully to continue on after high school. I love everything awesome from the frank sinatra days to the eco-friendly days of today! Hope this blog will create one swingin' partay for all of us!
